Al-Itqan was started in 2018 to serve local communities where Islamic education is scarce and hard to find.
Our aim is to instil the love and understanding of Islam in our students, and to pass it on to everyone around them. We run projects for all ages and all groups, and we take a holistic and strategic approach to teaching — which is where the name comes from.
إتقان
Itqan in Arabic means perfection, excellence, mastery, proficiency. It carries the idea of doing something with precision, thoroughness and care, to the best possible result. It is not only about being accurate — it is about the quality and the artistry of the work itself.
That is the standard we hold ourselves to. We offer our students high-quality Arabic and Qur’an teaching at affordable prices that meet their budget.

Fully DBS checked
Every staff member goes through an intensive selection process and is fully DBS checked.

Lessons are observed
Senior Team Leaders carry out continual observations of the actual lessons.

We ask for feedback
We take safeguarding seriously and actively encourage feedback from parents and students.

Ten children per class
Numbers are kept low so more time can be spent with each child in the room.
